2008 Annual Small States Forum

The 2008 Annual Small States Forum will be held on 11 October in the wings of the IMF/World Bank Annual Meetings. The theme of this year’s meeting is ‘Regional Co-operation and Approaches: Policies, Practice and Prospects’. The Chair of this year’s meeting is the Hon Professor Peter H Katjavivi of Namibia. Dr Indrajit Coomaraswamy, Director of the Economic Affairs Division at the Commonwealth Secretariat, is scheduled to address the gathering at the end of the meeting concerning the way forward. The Annual Small States Forum is a recommendation of the 2000 Commonwealth Secretariat/World Bank Joint Task Force Report on Small States.
