Fourth Meeting of Commonwealth Sports Ministers
Location: Beijing, People’s Republic of China
Date: 9 August 2008
The Commonwealth Sports Ministers Meeting is being coordinated by the Australian Government (who hosted the last meeting at the Commonwealth Games in 2006) with support from the Commonwealth Secretariat. The Secretary-General will address Commonwealth Sports Ministers on the power of Sport as a tool for development.
This meeting will provide an opportunity for Commonwealth Sports Ministers' to understand what work CABOS (Commonwealth Advisory Board on Sport) has been doing, as well as receive feedback on five case studies demonstrating this work. It will also be an opportunity to look forward to the Commonwealth Games taking place in Delhi in 2010.

Africa regional training programme on Legislative Drafting
Location: Accra, Ghana
Date: 21 July – 10 October 2008
The course aims to provide hands-on coaching and support to help participants gain knowledge, skills and practical experience in legislative drafting. Training will involve formal teaching and practical exercises and will be delivered by a team of experienced legal drafters.
